Classic Pilgrimages, in conjunction with Gate 1 Travel, operated our first Passion Play tours in 1984, the same year the 250th Anniversary of the first Passion Play performance was celebrated. We were a young company then and Passion Play tours were simply a special addition to our signature Holyland pilgrimages. However, the years 1990 and 2000 marked a giant step forward for our offering Passion Play tours. The year 2000, in particular, was our most prosperous year, as we operated nearly 150 groups with more than 5000 participants on several Passion Play itineraries.
We encourage all persons interested in group tours to contact us as soon as possible to register for space. Space will be confirmed and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. All of our packages will include either a 1 or 2 night stay in the Oberammergau area.
In addition to the itineraries listed, Classic Pilgrimages will operate any customized itinerary for groups of 15 persons or more, as per groups' specifications. Please contact us with your ideas at your earliest convenience and we will be happy to design an individualized itinerary for you.
