DAY 1, Tuesday
Depart the USA for Croatia. Your flight includes meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment for your journey
DAY 2, Wednesday
Arrive in Split and transfer to your hotel. This evening, enjoy an orientation meeting with your tour escort, followed by a welcome dinner (D): SPLIT
DAY 3, Thursday
This morning's city tour takes you into Split's historic inner city, built around Roman Emperor Diocletian's Palace, and listed by UNESCO a World Cultural Heritage Site. On this fascinating tour you will view remnants of Split's Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter's Temple, the Epistyle, and the Cathedral. In the afternoon, we transfer to the countryside village of Medjugorje, Bosnia, one of most famous pilgrimage destinations in the world today (B, D): MEDJUGORJE
DAY 4, Friday
Enjoy morning mass at St. James Church, and afterwards, continue on an orientation tour of the village. Here you will meet with local villagers and visit Apparition Hill (Mt. Podbrdo), the alleged site where the Virgin Mary first appeared in June, 1981. In the evening, attend the recitation of the rosary and the healing service at St. James Church (B, D): MEDJUGORJE
DAY 5, Saturday
Morning mass at St. James Church, followed by a visit to Mt. Krizevac (Cross Hill) through the Stations of the Cross. It was here, in 1934, atop a hill overlooking the town, that local villagers erected a massive concrete cross to memorialize the 1900th anniversary of Christ's death. In the evening, return to Medjugorje and attend service at St. James Church (B, D): MEDJUGORJE
DAY 6, Sunday
This morning, attend Sunday mass at St. James Church. The remainder of the day is free at leisure to pursue some passions of your own. If you wish, you may choose an optional excursion to meet with Father Jozo, residing at the Historical Franciscan Monastery of Siroki Brjeg, for a talk and healing service (subject to Father Jozo's availability). DAY 7, Monday
Depart Medjugorje this morning and travel south along the scenic Adriatic coast, passing old fishing villages and new reports, en route to the walled city of Dubrovnik. Upon arrival, enjoy a walking tour of the Old Town, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will find such sights as the Rector's Palace, Bell Tower clock, Orlando's Column, and the Sponza Palace. The tour continues to view the Dominican Monastery and Franciscan Monastery with its pharmacy, one of the oldest of its kind, dating from 1317. Enjoy the balance the day exploring Dubrovnik on your own (B, D): DUBROVNIK
DAY 8, Tuesday
Transfer to the airport for your return flight home (B).
