What are your office hours?

  • Monday – Friday 9am to 6pm

Do you accept credit cards and if so which ones?

  • Classic Pilgrimages accepts all major credit cards, with the exception of Diners Club. If you choose to pay your balance by credit card, our credit card payment form must be faxed or mailed to us before the payment can be processed.

Do you offer travel insurance?

Are Masses held daily?

  • Masses are held daily or as requested

Will a priest accompany us on our tour?

  • yes, on all escorted pilgrimages

Can we deviate from an already existing itinerary?

  • Yes, you may add pre and/or post tour extensions.

Do you provide wheel chairs or can we bring our own?

  • Tour participants requiring any form of assistance are required to notify CP/Gate 1 Travel in writing at the time of reservation, and must be accompanied by an individual responsible for providing those services. Tour managers, guides, drivers or other tour, hotel, ship personnel are not able to provide such assistance. Due to space limitations, wheelchairs and walkers cannot be taken aboard motor coaches and/or ships. CP/Gate 1 Travel reserves the right to remove any person from a tour who has not provided the required notification and has not received written confirmation from CP/Gate 1. Special considerations are given to passengers taking any tour containing Lourdes and if need be wheel chairs can be provided for no extra charge for their duration in Lourdes.

What is the payment schedule?

  • Pilgrimages without Cruise: 60 days prior
  • Pilgrimages with Sea/River Cruise: 120 days prior
  • Instant Purchase Airfare or Packages: At time of booking
  • Special Events including World Youth Day, Passion Play, Beatifications, Canonizations,
    etc. will require a different deposit and payment schedule. For more information please see Passion Play and World Youth Day sections.

What type of deposit is required?

  • The following deposits are due the time of booking for Passion Play Tours:
    • At the time of booking: $900.00 Per Person
    • On March 15, 2009: $600.00 Per Person
    • If booking after March 15,2009: $1500.00 Per Person at the time of booking.
    • On Sept. 15, 2009: $500.00 Per Person
    • If booking after Sept.15,2009: $2000.00 Per Person at the time of booking
    • 120 days prior to the departure: Balance of the full payment
  • Following deposits are due at the time of reservation:
    • Pilgrimages without Cruise: $500 per person
    • Pilgrimages with Sea or River Cruise: $800 per person
    • Instant Purchase Airfare or Packages: Full payment

How many people will be on the tour?

  • Hosted Tours – 2 – 20
  • Escorted Tours – Maximum of 45 – 48 per coach.

Do you work with travel agents?

  • Yes

When will I receive my documents?

  • Documents are generally sent between 14 and 21 days prior to departure

What is a single supplement?

  • A single supplement is a surcharge added to the cost per person when traveling alone

Do I need a passport or visa?

  • All Classic Pilgrimages destinations require you to have a valid passport. Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months after the date of travel. In addition there are some destinations that require a visa. Visas can be obtained on arrival at the airport for countries such as Turkey and Egypt; for others, such as China and Brazil, it is necessary to obtain a visa prior to departure from the U.S.
  • It is your responsibility as the passenger to ascertain if a visa is required for your destination, however, CP/Gate 1 provides a list of our destinations that are known to require a visa for entry, and information on where you can obtain one. (This information only applies to U.S. Passport holders.) CP/Gate 1 does not offer visa service.
