Itinerary

Day 1, Sunday July 18 :

Depart USA for your flight to Munich, Germany. Your flight includes meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment for your journey.

Day 2, Monday July 19:

Arrive Munich, meet with your Tour Escort and transfer to your hotel in Garmisch Partenkirchen. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3, Tuesday,  July 20 - Mass, Village Tour, Time at leisure, Passion Play
Attend morning Mass and then join us for a walking tour of the village. Then take some time to enjoy this quaint mountain village on your own. After lunch take your premium seats for the world famous Passion Play. The play has a running time of approximately 5 hours. Dinner is served during a 3 hour intermission.

Day 4, Wednesday, July 21  - Neuschwanstein Castle Tour, Visit to Weiskirche en route to Munich
This morning head into the densely forested mountains of southwest Bavaria. Here you'll see the dream-like castle of Neuschwanstein. This castle was built by the “Mad King” Ludwig and is known for its extraordinary architectural feats. View Weiskirche, otherwise known as “The Church in the Meadow”, on the way to Munich.  Leisure time, dinner, overnight.

Day 5, Thursday, July 22 - Munich City Tour, Nuremberg

After breakfast enjoy Munich City Tour . Today you'll visit two of the city's most important churches that Pope Benedict XVI served before being appointed Archbishop. From there continue on to the University of Munich and then to the 15th Century Church of Our Lady in the city centre. You'll also partake in a scenic drive through the city where you'll see such sights as the Baroque Nymphenberg Palace, the former summer residence of the Wittlesbach dynasty, and the Marienplatz with its famous Glockenspiel clock. Continue to Nuremberg for dinner and overnight.

Day 6, Friday , July 23  Nuremberg City Tour, Cruise Embarkation
This morning join us for Nuremberg City Tour  and then take some time to explore on your own before transferring to port for embarkation( begins at 4 pm, and the ship will sail at 8 pm. )Tonight, enjoy a gala welcome dinner on board

DAY 7, Saturday, July 24 - Afternoon in Regensburg
Arrive Regensburg this afternoon and enjoy time at leisure to explore one of the largest cities in Bavaria. Built in 179 BC by the Romans, the remnants of the original Roman architecture are still visible. Other notable sights include the Old Town Hall, St. Peter's Cathedral and one of the oldest stone bridges over the Danube. Sail for Passau this evening

DAY 8, Sunday ,July 25- Evening in Linz
This morning the ship will remain docked in Passau between 8 and 10:30 am. Depart for the optional excursion to Salzburg, or explore Passau on your own. Most well known for St. Stephen's Cathedral and its historic Altstatd, or Old City district, the city boasts many fine examples of Baroque and Gothic architecture. Continue sailing for Linz in the late morning and spend a leisurely afternoon on board cruising the Danube River. Enjoy free time in Linz from 4:30 to 9 pm
